A warm welcome from our Headteacher

Welcome to our school.  We believe the years spent in primary education are the most valuable in terms of the development of skills, acquiring the right attitudes towards learning, becoming independent, self-disciplined and self-motivated learners and, most importantly, maintaining and building self-esteem in order to be successful.

It is our aim to ensure that your child achieves all of these through the provision of a safe, warm, secure and caring environment, access to a broad and balanced curriculum, along with many stimulating and interesting opportunities for your child to develop as an individual.

You, the parents, have been your child’s first and primarily his/her most significant educator, and it is now of paramount importance that we form a partnership to continue and develop those beginnings. For your child to get the most out of school we need, and most importantly your child needs, you to support the school’s values and procedures. Communication, understanding, encouragement and involvement are crucial for this partnership to be successful.

I, and all my staff, look forward to getting to know you and to working with you whilst at the same time helping your child reach their potential in order to live a full and happy life.

Acting Executive Headteacher, Mrs R Gough

Sun cream, hats and water bottles reminder
13/05/2025 1:25 PM

Now that the warmer months are here, can parents/carers please bring their children to school with a water bottle and sun hat/cap. This is to ensure that the children stay hydrated and are safe, at break times, in the sunshine. The staff will remind the children to drink throughout the day.

It will also be beneficial for the children to have sun cream applied at home before school. Sadly, staff are not allowed to put sun cream on pupils so you might consider getting a sun cream that has long lasting sun protection throughout the day.

Thank you very much.
