HEALTHY SNACKS
Within our school we aim to promote healthy eating, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our parents and carers that crisps, nuts or nut related products, sweets, chocolate and biscuits are not permitted as a break time snack.
The best healthy snacks for break time are finger foods that can be eaten outside.
Below are some examples of healthy snacks that can be eaten at break time.
Breadsticks, crackers and plain rice cakes
Any choice of fruit
Yoghurt tubes and pouches
Vegetable sticks, such as carrot, cucumber, and peppers or any other vegetables your child enjoys.
Water or flavoured water
Parents and carers are asked to send in a fresh bottle of drinking water or flavoured water daily for their child /children to ensure they stay hydrated throughout the day.
Do not send in squash or juice please.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school or speak to your child’s class teacher if you have any questions regarding appropriate snacks and water bottles.
